Larco Introduces Safety Mat Controller For Industrial Applications
Building on the proven success of Larco's Zone Monitor safety mat controllers, the Zone Monitor 5000ex features the enhanced capabilities introduced with the Zone Monitor 5000, and includes several additional features. In the Zone Monitor 5000ex, the output relays, the only moving parts that can wear out, have been re-located to a separate replaceable circuit board, which allows the user to easily remove and replace the relays with the turn of two screws.
In addition to control reliable performance and MPCE monitoring capabilities, the Zone Monitor also features built-in selectable automatic restart or guard only modes and easy-connect wire plugs. Ten individual mat LED indicators and an internal diagnostic LED provide instantaneous, super-accurate status indication for the entire safety system.
Unlike competitive control units, The Zone Monitor 5000ex employs both an analog control circuitry and a digital microprocessor control circuitry to offer true diverse redundant control reliability and state of the art diagnostics. By utilizing these two distinct technologies, the Zone Monitor prevents common cause failures in both design logic and components, making the Zone Monitor 5000ex a very durable and reliable mat control unit.
