This is a Agilent/HP 8901A Modulation Analyzer with a frequency range of 150kHz-1300MhZ.
The unit is in great condition (case has some scrapes from normal use) and appears to be working properly. There are no errors flagged and it was last calibrated by Agilent in 2005 (expired Feb 2006).
The HP8901A is a complete measurement system for accurately characterizing signals from 150kHz to 1300MHz. It combines the capabilities of three separate instruments: it can measure frequency, RF peak power, and can accurately measure modulation and recover the modulating signal.
It can measure an RF signal's frequency, frequenct drift, peak power level, amplitude modulation (AM), frequency modulation (FM), phase modulation (PM) and AM and FM noise components. It recovers the modulating signal with very low addes distortion and noise for audio analysis.
The unit is fully automatic and all major measurements can be made by pushing a single key.
This unit includes the following OPTIONS:
Option 001 - Rear Panel Connections (instead of front panel)
Option 002 - High Stability Internal Reference Oscillator
Option 010 - Internal AM and FM Calibrators
