The 736 is a mercury-free replacement for the once popular EBC 736, NEDA 3 that was commonly used in many communication and electronic devices. Mercury cells are now banned because of toxicity and environmental fears. The Exell 736 version produces 4.5 Volts and has two small socket contacts on the top of the battery. The socket contacts measure approx 1/2" apart
