A FEW YEARS AGO, vintage surplus suppliers listed this Allen Bradley resistor for $5.50 apiece... that is, IF they were lucky enough to still have had it in stock. The price would have increased to at least $6.00 since then. Check for yourself! (... do a search for Allen Bradley Resistors at Surplus Sales of Nebraska. They are OUT OF STOCK but they list the 5%.)
There is a LIMITED SUPPLY of Allen Bradley Carbon Composition Resistors on the planet, as production in the U.S.A. has ceased for quite some time. What there is is ALL there is... all that ever will be. Allen-Bradley is considered to be the best example of this type of resistor found in most classic tube gear.
