Provides operating personnel a safe and reliable method to verify distribution transformers do not have shorted or open windings prior to energizing.
This is a battery operated microcontroller-based device, used to perform a simple quick test on a wide range of de-energized distribution transformers. It is designed to give maintenance personnel a final confidence check to ensure that no abnormalities exist before energizing the transformer. Both visual and audible indications are provided to show the condition of the transformer being checker. Three separate possible conditions are indicated:
A “low battery should be replaced.
