These are Unitrans so they are self contained without the familiar outside ceramic terminals. The terminals are located within the metal enclosure. I believe this makes them easier and safer to work with. These can be used the same as the other type of transformer within a sign or for Tesla coils.
These are brand new unused transformers. They are old stock. A couple of years old so they do not have the 2161 ground fault protection. They will be perfect for use with a Tesla Coil or Jacobs ladder. The new transformers with the ground fault protection will not work for the Tesla Coil or Jacobs ladder. These are mfg by Lighting Components Inc. in Canada a subsidiary of Allinson Transformers.
