Jet Tip nozzle Pick and Place machine w/ 2 Ferguson indexing tables. Unit was professionally designed and manufactured although this was the only one I believe that was ever made. Initially manufactured for a cost to the company of roughly $100,000. Two of the company’s engineers spent approx 3 months designing and testing. The primary purpose was for insertion of the jet nozzles on for showerheads. Although it is unlikely anyone will have use for this specific function, there is a small fortune in components as it sits as well as a very solid framework. The entire work area is enclosed by about 12 removal panels. Each panel is equipped with an interlock.
Primary table measures 55†wide by 71†long with a table height of 36.25â€. This surface is made from 2 sections of Aluminum 1†thick. In the middle of the table is mounted a Ferguson indexing table. The Ferguson is a model R200 with a 30.1 ratio. Currently set up as a 12 position table. Table is made from 1†thick Aluminum. In each position there is currently installed 2 slots for the jet tip nozzles. These are set as machined dies 1†in diameter. These could be replaced to accept a different configuration. A larger size could be mounted if machined larger. It would be possible to even mount a different fixture on the surface although some modifications could be required to allow adequate clearance.
In the top fixed center of the primary table, there is 2 pick and place arms mounted. One arm has a vertical travel of roughly 3.625†and a travel of 5†back and forth. A second Pick and Place arm has a vertical travel of roughly 1.75†and a travel of 5†back and forth. These guides can be easily machined on a basic knee mill to modify the travel dimensions to any desired of less distance. If may be possible to extend the dimensions some but not much with out overhauling the entire arm. Pick and place arms are pneumatically driven using a slotted aluminum plate and a bearing to guide the arm as desired. Quite ingenious actually.
The 2 larger vibrator bowl feeders provide the table with a steady stream of components. I can find no make or model other than some raised letters in the casting 15-C-CW. Rough dimensions are 18†across the top of the bowl and 23†overall in height. These were mounted on the primary table each with a hopper.
The two smaller bowl feeders are marked B&C. V.I.W. CCW 12IN. Each is equipped with an on/off switch. Rough dimensions are 15†across the top of the bowl and 16†overall in height. These bowls are mounted on a separate table. Table is approx 35â€x35†and 26†to table height. Table top a solid piece of 1†thick aluminum plate.
A third table with the smaller vribratory bowl feeders also has a Ferguson indexing table. This is also model R200 with a 30.1 Ratio. There is one Pick and place arm mounted on this table. Appears to be the same as the larger of the pick and place arms mentioned before. I have it covered in shrink wrap and difficult to verify at this particular moment.
The unit is controlled by 2 banks of Allen Bradley PLC modules. There are 2 slot racks model 1746-A10 and one 1746-A7. Each slot rack has a 1746-A4 Power supply. The first is a 10 Space Rack with all 10 slots filled. The following cards are installed on the 10 slot rack: (1)SLC 5/04 CPU processor w/ RS232 port and program terminal model 1747-L542, (1) Device Net, (1) 1746-I08 Combination I/O module, and (7) 1746-IB16. The second is a 7 Space Rack with 6 slots filled. The following cards are installed on the 7 slot rack: (1) 1746-OX8 Output Module, (1) 1746-OB16 Output Module, and (4) 1746-OW16 Output Modules. There are other numerous components such as relay switches, power supplies, Danfoss electronic drives for the Ferguson indexers, Cutler Hammer disconnect switch, etc. There is too much to list all the rest.
I may consider hauling this dependant on the location. Negotiable fee applies of course.
