Lot of 2 Optrex 20x4 character LCDs with EL backlight (HD44780 interface)
Lot of 2 Optrex 20x4 character LCDs with HD44780 interface. EL backlight requires 110VAC. One display is unused, but has a purple spot on the screen. The other display has been used but works fine.
These displays use the familiar and well-documented HD44780 controller, so they are easy interface with. One popular application is connection to a PC via the parallel port. I am including a parallel cable for those who would like to try this out. (Note that some soldering is required, so electronics experience is recommended.)
