This item offered here is a robotic automated manufacturing cell built by ROBOTIC PROCESS SYSTEMS for WARD PRODUCTS for the high speed manufacture of AUTOMOTIVE RADIO ANTENNAS. The system is contained on four large pallets and a parts system is also included which is contained on three pallets. It was reported that the pneumatic system did not have the power for the crimping functions required for the antenna production so it was never used. The company went to a hydraulic system instead leaving this system NEW AND UNUSED EXCEPT FOR TESTING..................It is a robotic manufacturing cell constructed of SMC Automation products, heavy aluminum plate and aluminum extrusion framing. The cell uses one DORNER belt conveyor but a second is included and there is a terminal machine. All this was new in 1999 to 2002 and never put into operation by Ward but this system should be perfect and modifyable for someones high speed assembly operation of similar product. If viewed as a collection of reconfigurable parts, the parts are: qty~4 Koyo Direct Logic 205 nine and four module brains,~100 SMC air solenoid valves and regulators, many thousands of dollars in new SMC MHL2-16D type pneumatic slides, four vibratory feeders, hundreds of SMC limit switches, Call for details.
