AND NOW!!! includes lessons... this is a series of lessons that will be emailed to you over the next several months, this is for the beginner programmer just learning how to program and the seasoned engineer that is looking to improve their skills, we are covering everything from simple pointers to advanced moves and data manipulation.
The first lesson is Pump Sequencing, you will learn how to program a series of pumps and have them automatically cycle on and off (one at a time), so you keep even ware on the pumps and cycle them depending on and off depending on the pressure switch settings, all three pumps will run if the press is not enough and cycle off as pressure gets closer to set point, using this is they way to be introduced into the real world of programming and trouble shooting.
Also you will find some methods of troubleshooting, some of the things that we want to teach are ways you can troubleshoot and commission your equipment, PLCs are tools to help you and make you look better and make you job easier....we can do just that.
You can also see a sample screen shot of the first lesson, this is very well documented so you can make and follow the program and see the reasoning for everything, the first lesson is a little more advanced but we will also show you the basics as well.

RSLogix 500 ((Starter)) is made by Rockwell Automation this software can only be used with this PLC ( or any other 10 point AB Micrologix 1000) You do not need a KEY with this software, it is not limited by anything other then the standard limitation between the different CPU, i.e. the SLC 500 have a higher level of math and other functions that are not available with the Micrologix 1000
RSLinx ((Lite)) is also made by Rockwell Automation this software is your communication between the PLC and your computer, ((I think)) all RSLinx are the same the difference is with the KEYs, if you have an OEM key or PRO key you will have different functions available if you do not load a key… the program will default to LITE. There are also known issues with Vista operating system and RSLinx, if something changes then I will update this listing.
The software is not compatible with Vista, but neither is any RSLogix 500 or RSLinx version yet, we will update this when it changes
