This variac is in good used condition; the shaft turns both smoothly & freely. The winding looks fine, a few bumps visible, but no scrapes to the enamel. Also, outside of some misc. scratches & oxidation to the frame, the item looks to be in relatively good cosmetic condition. The 10.0 amp rating makes this item ideal for servicing tube-type power amplifiers.
